Seek MORE with Cameron

Updated: May 22, 2023

This Summer, we will be highlighting our four lovely interns, who are part of the MORE Magazine team. Seek MORE by reading their stories on who they are and why they chose MORE Magazine.

Hi there, I’m Cameron Glass (she/her). Growing up in a small rural town in Indiana, community has always been so important to me. I’ve found ways growing up to embrace the diversity within myself by expressing it through community non-profit service. In the past, I have been actively involved in Spencer Pride and served on their board of directors as a Youth Lead then as Volunteer Communications Director. Being an activist for LGBTQ+ youth was an incredible experience. Through our efforts, I implemented a Gay-Straight Alliance in my high school, hosted a Pride Prom for queer youth in Indiana, and organized multiple safe space events for local youth. I look forward to being able to continue my activism within the community.

As a proud second-generation Indiana Hoosier, I am happy to say this fall I will be a junior at Indiana University Bloomington. I am pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Merchandising from the Eskenazi School of Art, Architecture, and Design with a minor in Marketing from the Kelley School of Business. I currently work as a Supervisor for Finish Line in Plainfield where I have

been fortunate enough to display my education of the retail industry firsthand as well as explore my passion of working in the athletic and footwear industry. During my undergrad, I have been highly involved in the Retail Studies Organization (RSO) on campus and was able to earn two Certificates of Achievement for the 2020-2021 school year. In the fall, I will be a serving RSO Officer as a Director of Social Media.

I am very fortunate to be a part of the MORE team. As a creative-thinker yet business-oriented individual by nature, seeing the effort of what it takes to run an effective company and being able to contribute to that is incredible. The experiences I have learned thus far as an intern will last a lifetime. Everyday I am inspired by the women of MORE to take the extra step in life and seek more of what is possible. For me, seeking more is to prioritize yourself by filling your life with people who motivate you to be the best version of yourself each and every day.
