Seek MORE with Christie

Updated: May 22, 2023

This Summer, we will be highlighting our four lovely interns , who are part of the MORE Magazine team. Seek MORE by reading their stories on who they are and why they chose MORE Magazine.

My name is Christie Lin, and I am a Taiwanese Asian-American who has lived in Bowling Green, Kentucky for my whole life. I was fortunate to be able to play many instruments and sports and be involved in various activities while growing up, and I believe my experiences have shaped me into the person that I am today. I am passionate about sustainable practices, traveling to new places, music, and being creative.

In the fall of 2021, I will be going into my sophomore year at Indiana University majoring in Entrepreneurship and Corporate Innovation at the Kelley School of Business and minoring in Fashion Design at the Eskenazi School of Art. I have always been very interested in these fields and hope to pursue a career in fashion business after graduating from Indiana University. Aside from my degree, I love being involved on campus as well. I am on the Merchandising and Apparel Committee for IU Dance Marathon, the Social Media News Liaison for the Retail Studies Organization, a mentor on the X170 Leadership Team, and a member of Balance at Kelley. Being heavily involved on campus has given me the opportunity to interact with like-minded students and has allowed me to grow immensely in both my experiences and mental capabilities. I’ve been given the opportunity to lead, be creative, achieve, and to seek more.

Getting the opportunity to work with MORE Magazine as an intern has helped me explore my creativity while seeking more. I was so excited when I was asked to be a part of this team because I knew I would be surrounded by such strong women and supported by an empowering brand. MORE magazine stood out to me through their inspiring message and how they Make Opportunities Reachable for Everyone. I knew being an intern would not only help me expand my social media skills, but it would help me seek more.

“Seeking more” has gained a whole new meaning to me since being an intern at MORE magazine. Now, I understand the depth this phrase can have. To me, “seeking more” means to push yourself out of your comfort zone to make an impact on society. There are always stories and lessons to learn from or to share with others. Seeking more is to grow and make change for not only yourself but the people around you.
