This Spring, we will be highlighting four empowered interns who are choosing to Seek MORE with us this semester. Get to know them by reading their stories and learning what seeking MORE means to them.
My name is Grace Holt and I am currently a sophomore attending The Kelley School of Business at Indiana University-Purdue Univerity Indianapolis. I am studying marketing, along with a minor in economics, in hopes to understand the ebs and flows of societies wants, and how I can fulfill those needs by adding value to products, concepts, etc.
Growing up I was never fully in touch with my femininity; I believe this to be primarily due to being raised with 4 brothers and only 1 sister. As I progressed throughout my high school career, I began to really embrace being a woman and engage with what it truly meant to me. Time went on and I began to discover how much I loved fashion and beauty, just by letting myself become fully immersed in my own identity. I gained a huge appreciation for fashion in the past, present and what it can become in the future. With this, I hope to someday pursue a career in the fashion or beauty sector of marketing.
Seeking MORE means pushing myself to pursue my hopes and dreams. It means being willing to sacrifice what is needed, in order to enhance my life in all aspects. Coming to the realization that almost every woman in the world has the possibility of relating to you and understanding what it is like to go through the trials and tribulations that you do, is so comforting. We recognize that we need to look out for each other and encourage one another in order to grow in our careers, relationships, etc.
Having the opportunity for an internship with a company like MORE is just what I need to seek MORE of in my life— a company that has my best intentions in mind and connects me with women that have similar, ambitious goals as mine.
